Port Daniel Press is a boutique publisher specialising in New Zealand history, art history and architectural history. Established by Dunedin historian Peter Entwisle in 1998, it takes its name from the oldest European name for Otago Harbour in southern New Zealand.  The press doesn’t accept unsolicited manuscripts.

NEWS: Just a few copies are left of Peter Entwisle's book Taka:  A Vignette Life of William Tucker 1784-1817, published in 2005. This ground-breaking book explores the life of New Zealand's first art dealer and finally solves the mystery of his death at Murdering Beach, Otago Heads, in December 1817.
